In this talk, Dr. Hua Zhang will summarize the recent research on the crystal phase engineering nanomaterials in his group. It includes the first-time synthesis of hexagonal-close packed (hcp) Aunanosheets (AuSSs) on graphene oxide, surface-induced phase transformation of AuSSs from hcpto face-centered cubic (fcc)structures, alternating hcp/fcc Au square-like plates from AuSSs,ultrathin Au nanowires containing hcp phase, synthesis of ultrathin fcc Au@Pt and Au@Pd rhombic nanoplates through the epitaxial growth of Pt and Pd on the hcp AuSSs, respectively, the first-time synthesis of 4H hexagonal phase Au nanoribbons (NRBs) and their phase transformation to fcc Au RNBs,the epitaxial growth of Ag, Pt, Pd, PtAg, PdAg, PtPdAg, Rh, Ir, Ru, Os and Cu on 4H Au NRBs to form the 4H/fcc Au@metal core–shell NRBs, and the synthesis of 4H/fcc-Au@metal sulfide core-shell NRB heterostructures. In addition,the crystal phase transformation of transition metal dichalcogenide nanomaterials will also be introduced. Currently, his group focuses on thecrystal phase-based properties and applications in catalysis, surface enhanced Raman scattering, waveguide, photothermal therapy, chemical and biosensing,etc. Importantly, the concept of crystal phase heterostructures of nanomaterialsis proposed.
个人简介：
Dr. Hua Zhang obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees at Nanjing University in China in 1992 and 1995,respectively, and completed his Ph.D. with Prof. Zhongfan Liu at Peking University in China in July 1998. He joined Nanyang Technological University (NTU) as an Assistant Professor in 2006 and was promoted to Full Professor on Sept. 1, 2013.
Dr. Hua Zhang has published 5 invited book chapters, 71 patent applications and over 430 papers, among which 180 papers were published in IF>10 journals and 88 papers were published in 8<IF<10 journals. Some of his papers have been published in Science(1), Nat. Chem. (4),Nat. Rev. Mater. (2), Nat.Commun. (6), Sci. Adv. (1), Nat. Protocols (1), Chem. Rev. (1), Chem. Soc. Rev. (9), Acc. Chem. Res. (2), J. Am.Chem. Soc. (14), Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. (27), Adv.Mater. (44),etc.
Dr. Hua Zhang got the Young Investigator Award(2016), Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholar Award (2016), ACS Nano Lectureship Award (2015), World Cultural Council (WCC) Special Recognition Award (2013), the ONASSIA Foundation Lectureship (2013), Asian Rising Stars (2013),SMALL Young Innovator Award (2012) and Nanyang Award for Research Excellence (2011).
